Trendy socks are an ideal present for the community. They are pretty but not kitschy. They are expensive but not extravagant. Most importantly, they express joy and bring colour to a man’s life, but restrict it to a tiny canvas of their sock.

Colourful socks are more than a fashion. To me, they are two more things: a tool of social integration, because they protect masculinity standards, and a force of social deviance, because they transgress our gender norms. Can a pair of socks really walk the walk of social change?
